The North Carolina Computer Instructor's Association was established in 1994 by Carol Jones to meet the needs of training and sharing information related to computer technology. The goals of the NCCIA are:

• To share ideas and exchange information
• To cultivate professional development
• To acquire and maintain competencies in emerging computer technology
• To identify student competencies within our students' curricula
• To increase awareness of employment opportunities
• To provide resource information to the North Carolina Community College System
